So I look calm and happy here but it is just for show for the picture. ..

I’m tired … I’m achy … I am worried about my race.

My first 2019 half marathon is two weeks away and I’ve put the time and miles in. I’m not as fast as I used to be, I’m not as fast as I hoped to be. It is what it is. Still, I plan to show up, embrace the race atmosphere that I always love and I will do my best.  I’m nervous but time to prep time has not run out yet! !

My plan for the next two weeks…
1) yoga and stretch every day – I need to do this to stay flexible and avoid injury,
2) core work – continue to consistently work on strengthening my core so I can maintain good form especially through the second half of my race.
3) eat well – I want to stay healthy and trim so I am my best on race day.
4) hydrate, hydrate, hydrate – this is something I have to consciously work on – every . damn. day!
5) through out it all, continue to RUN of course !!
6) (Added by my awesome friend, Margo) train my mind everyday leading up to race day with positive affirmations

This race has been my goal for the past 3 months and I cannot let my worries get in the way of the work that still needs to be done.

Thanks all for all your support so far!
